Shara Worden, the voice/composer/artist behind My Brightest Diamond, has a voice unlike any other. "Dragonfly" showcases this amidst layers of guitars, drums, and strings. The main melody is so simple and scalar. I love the sadness, yearning, and transformation she breathes into the song. Musing on these feelings, I took her melody and kept it relatively simple and slow in this fantasy. I wanted to reflect on and feature her beautiful melodies, rather than distort them too much.
